On November 14, several University of Minnesota Agricultural Communication & Marketing students had the opportunity to attend the 2015 Minnesota Blogger Conference as guests of the conference sponsor, Minnesota Beef Council.  The Minnesota Blogger Conference brought together 300 bloggers for a full-day educational conference. At the event, the Minnesota Beef Council teamed up with the Alice Sueffert, Minnesota parenting and food blogger, Twin Cities Live Kitchen Star and author of Freezer Meals for Moms to teach conference participants techniques for beefing up food photography on their blogs.  More specifically, Alice focused on food photography fundamentals and explained to bloggers why good food photography matters on your blog. She also discussed challenges and several techniques that will get bloggers taking better pictures today. Throughout the presentation Alice used examples related specifically to beef and participants had the opportunity to use the tips and information they learned to engage in a beef photography contest. Another perk of the sponsorship was the ability to team up with the University of Minnesota Agricultural Communication & Marketing program to invite students from our major to experience the professional development training.
