ACM Student Serves as Editor of The Enthusiast
Agricultural Education, Communication & Marketing (AECM) student assistant and U of M Junior Ellyn Swanson wrote and edited this semester’s e-newsletter. Ellyn is from Trimont, Minnesota where she grew up on a corn and soybean farm and was heavily involved in FFA. She is an Agricultural Communication and Marketing major with an emphasis in Food, Agricultural, and Natural Resource Sciences. The Ag Ed faculty and staff would like to offer our sincere thanks for her hard work writing articles!
“Writing and editing newsletters this year really prompted me to focus on, and explore my passion for writing. With the experience I have gained working in AECM, I feel as though I am ready for a career in the agriculture industry. I’ve always been asked the question, “What’s your dream job?” and I have never really been able to give a straight answer until now. In my “dream job” all I truly want to do is share the story of agriculture and family farms by utilizing my talent of writing.”
“A sincere thank-you to all AECM faculty and staff. Each and every one of you have helped me realize and expand upon my passion for writing - I could not have done it without all of you!”
