The Enthusiast - Spring 2017

The stories in this edition of our e-newsletter celebrate the accomplishments and experiences of our amazing students, alumni, faculty, and staff.

From celebrations to events, it's a busy summer ahead for Ag Ed & ACM.

Congratulations and best wishes to our 2016-2017 graduating students from Agricultural Education, Communication & Marketing at the University of Minnesota!

Each candidate had a unique experience and they look forward to teaching in their own classrooms!

The University of Minnesota was the only college Brooke toured. “When I found out there was a major that combined agriculture and communications, I was hooked.”

When this semester comes to an end, Patric Pehrson will achieve a life goal of acquiring a degree to teach agriculture to upcoming generations.

“Being able to work with different agricultural clients that have differing communication and marketing needs match up with my passion for being involved in all aspects of agriculture."

Every spring, our campus welcomes high school students participating in the The Roland Peterson Agricultural Education Science Fair, Agricultural Communications Career Development Event, the Change Lives, Teach Ag Workshop, and the Minnesota State FFA Convention.

When the opportunity arose for Madi to travel to Uganda to teach others about agriculture, she instantly said yes!

Harley Braun, a freshman studying Agricultural Education, had the amazing opportunity to attend a conference that changed her vision of leadership.

This year's Ag Awareness Day gave 1,500 attendees a chance to visit with students and ask questions of industry professionals while learning about the many aspects that make up the agriculture industry.
