The Enthusiast - Winter 2018
What are graduates of your program doing and are they successful? Prospective undergraduate students and their parents commonly ask this question when they visit campus. I am very pleased to share that Agricultural Education (Ag Ed) and Ag Communication & Marketing (ACM) graduates are experiencing success!
From celebrations to events, it's a busy spring ahead for Ag Ed & ACM.
Beginning in February, six of our Agricultural Education students will be scattered across the state of Minnesota taking the skills and lessons they have learned during the academic career at the U of M and applying them as teacher candidates!
Donors are a crucial part of education here at the University of Minnesota!
From social media to co-ops and 4-H to corporations, some of our Agricultural Communication and Marketing students had busy summers showcasing their talents and developing skills by completing complex tasks.
From woodworking to developing communication and social media materials for a real-world client, our students have been busy this semester!
National Teach Ag Day was celebrated on September 21, 2017.
This year's Faces of Ag Tour featured the University of Minnesota Native American Medicine Gardens, Mississippi Mushrooms, the Oliver Kelley Farm and Krause Holsteins.
Each year, the CFANS Mentor Program connects professionals with students to help them develop professional skills, learn how to network, and explore career opportunities.
Ellyn Swanson grew up surrounded by agriculture and it has always been a passion and interest area of hers.
Choosing to attend the U of M was not even a question for Agricultural Education graduate student, Greta Tank.
First introduced to the University of Minnesota through 4-H and FFA, the Agricultural Education faculty and program immediately caught Tyler Warren’s attention.
This year's National FFA Convention and ATA Conclave brought success to our students!
The Ag Ed and ACM Peer-to-Peer Mentor Program provides support, connection, and growth.
In addition to teaching courses, AECM professors, along with some students, are often very busy conducting research.
Valerie Earley, an Agricultural Communication & Marketing alum, finished her 2016-2017 year of service as a National FFA Officer.
We're proud of our students, faculty and staff!
