CFANS Students Selected for LeaderShape
For the second consecutive year, students in the College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences will have the opportunity to participate in the LeaderShape Institute. LeaderShape is a long-standing leadership development opportunity for college students that got its start at the University of Illinois more than 30 years ago. LeaderShape now offers national institutes annually and also partners with colleges and universities to offer campus-based institutes.
For several years, the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities has hosted a campus-based institute aimed at students in the College of Science & Engineering and the Carlson School of Management. In 2016, CFANS students participated in the institute for the first time.
During the second week of January, the 2017 University of Minnesota LeaderShape Institute will be hosted at Camp Induhapi in Loretto, MN. The following CFANS students will be participating:
- Harley Braun
- Johanna Knorr
- Kris Moore
- Julianna Ng
- Haleigh Ortmeier-Clarke
- Thomas Schwarz
- Michaelem Selissen
- Matthew Stellpflug
Harley Braun, a current Agricultural Education student, said, "Through LeaderShape, I am looking forward to gaining skills that will allow me to be a better leader on campus and in the Twin Cities community over the next four years!"
Congratulations to all students that will be attending the 2017 U of M LeaderShape Institute!
