ACM Student Serves as Editor of The Ag Ed Enthusiast
Agricultural Education student assistant and U of M Sophomore Ellyn Swanson wrote and edited this semester’s e-newsletter. The Ag Ed faculty and staff would like to offer our sincere thanks for her hard work writing articles!
“Growing up in a small, farming community really shaped my interest in agriculture. I knew that the University of Minnesota was the right fit for me because I felt that I would be able to mold my passions for agriculture and community into a lifelong career,” Ellyn said.
Ellyn is from Trimont, Minnesota where she grew up on a corn and soybean farm and was heavily involved in FFA. She is an Agricultural Communication & Marketing major with a Human Resource Development minor.
“The Ag Ed department is a wonderful place to be. The faculty genuinely cares about your well-being as a student, and as a person. They support your passions and truly want to see you succeed in whatever you decide to pursue. That is what I love about Ag Ed and ACM, no matter what major you’re in, the faculty, staff, even your peers and friends, push you to be your best self and develop your passions into a career that you will truly enjoy.”
