I moved from California to Minnesota in 1993 to join the faculty in Applied Economics. I met and married my husband Allan, who grew up in Dawson, a small town in western Minnesota. We have two adult children and one just starting high school. I recently became a Faculty Athletic Representative for the University of Minnesota, so I'm enjoying watching Gopher sports of all kinds. My favorite vacation spot, even in the winter, is in northern Minnesota.

Why the University of Minnesota? The University of Minnesota attracts great students and they become wonderful alumni. I love walking over to see the Gopher sports on the Saint Paul Campus--Cross Country and Soccer. The Bell Museum is another highlight--there's always something new there!
