Career Exploration & Early Field Experience in Agricultural Education, Communication, and Marketing

AECM 2096 is designed to help students explore and prepare for the wide range of careers available within agricultural education, communication, and marketing. In working to meet the course objectives students will discover individual strengths, interests, values, and skills so that they can better develop a path for a career that “fits”. Throughout the class, students explore diverse and relevant career pathways through activities and assignments linked to the aforementioned areas, building skills and abilities that will help them pursue such careers. Knowledge and skills gained in class will be applied in a set of instructor supported micro-internships or early field experiences, that help students grow their professional networks and strengthen their professional development.
