Professional & Oral Communication for Ag, Food, & the Environment

The goal of this course is to help students learn the foundational writing and speaking skills needed to communicate science effectively, to join current public and professional conversations about agriculture, food, and natural resource (AFNR) related topics, and to be successful in a wide variety of AFNR careers. Students who want to be the next generation of effective teachers, scientists, industry leaders, advocates, and policy makers must learn how to communicate with the public, their peers, and other audiences. Assignments focus on informative and persuasive presentations and effectively working in teams and groups.
